Recap is a monday.com board view published by GOING STELLAR SRL, a company registered in Romania ("we"). This policy describes exactly what the app does with your data. It is short because the app does very little with it.
Recap requests a single monday.com permission, boards:read. When you open the view on a
board, the app reads that board directly from monday's API in your browser, using your own monday
session: the board name and description, its columns, its groups, and its items with their column
values and last-updated dates.
Recap never writes to your account. It cannot create, edit or delete items, columns, boards or files, and it does not read boards you have not opened it on.
By default, nowhere. The report is assembled and rendered in your browser. The board data does not leave your device, and the "Export PDF" action is your browser's own print function.
One action is different. If you press Write summary, the app sends a compact
digest of the board to our service at recap.syncerp.work. The digest contains:
the board name, the period you selected, item counts, the status labels and their counts, the group
names and their counts, and the names of up to twelve recently updated items with their status and
group. It does not contain your other column values, updates, files, or the personal details of the
people assigned to items — beyond what may appear in an item's own name.
Our service forwards that digest to Anthropic PBC (United States), which operates the Claude language model that writes the paragraph, and returns the result to you. Anthropic processes it to generate that response; under Anthropic's commercial API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Anthropic is our only sub-processor.
This is the complete list, front end and back end. There are no analytics, advertising, tracking or error-reporting services in the app, and no cookies are set.
| Domain | Side | Operated by | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
api.monday.com | Front end | monday.com | Reading the board you opened the view on, using your own monday.com session. |
recap.syncerp.work | Both | GOING STELLAR SRL (us) | Serves the app itself, and receives the digest when you ask for a written summary. |
api.anthropic.com | Back end | Anthropic PBC | Writes the summary paragraph from the digest. Called by our server, never by your browser. |
| Data | Where | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Board data used to render the report | Your browser only | Until you close the view |
| The digest sent for a summary | Held in memory during the request | Not stored; discarded when the response is returned |
| Your monday account id (from the signed session token) | Our server's memory | Up to one hour, to enforce a usage limit |
| Standard web-server access logs (time, IP, URL, status) | Our server | Rotated; they do not contain board content |
We keep no database of your board content. There is nothing to export or delete, because nothing is retained; uninstalling the app ends all access immediately.
All traffic is over HTTPS. Our summary endpoint only accepts requests carrying a session token signed by monday.com for our app, which we verify on every request, so it cannot be called by a third party on your behalf.
Under the GDPR you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or erased. Because we retain no board content, in practice such a request is answered by confirming that nothing is stored. Write to gheorghe.beschea@overheat.agency and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data-protection authority.
Uninstalling Recap from your monday.com account revokes our access immediately. Because we keep no copy of your board content, there is nothing left to erase; the only thing that could still exist is the in-memory hourly usage counter keyed to your account id, which expires within the hour. Any end-user data or metadata that did somehow remain would be deleted within ten days of uninstall.
Recap is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.
If we change what the app does with data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes on the monday.com marketplace.
